By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Rock Identifier ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Rock Identifier is a mobile application designed to help users identify rocks, minerals, and stones from images. Features may include:

• Photo-based rock and mineral recognition
• Saved scan history and favorites
• Educational descriptions and reference details
• Premium tools or enhanced identification features
• Customer support and service-related communications

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Rock Identifier offers recurring premium subscriptions with the following plans:

These subscription plans do not include a free trial. Applicable pricing and billing intervals are shown in the App before you confirm a purchase.

If you purchase a subscription, it renews automatically at the end of the selected billing period unless you cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings before the next renewal date.

4. Payment and Refunds

Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewal timing, and refunds are generally governed by the policies of the platform from which you purchased the subscription or item.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or did not receive premium access after purchase, contact the relevant app store first and then contact our support team.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating or maintaining your account
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Upload only content you have the right to use
• Not interfere with the App's security, servers, or normal operation
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt unauthorized access to the App
• Not use the App in a way that violates the rights of others

6. Scientific and Educational Disclaimer

Identification results are generated automatically and may vary depending on image quality, lighting, angle, surface condition, and similarity between specimens. Results are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

Rock Identifier does not replace laboratory testing, field verification, geological expertise, appraisal, or professional advice. You should not rely solely on the App for safety-critical, scientific, or commercial decisions.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, software, branding, text, design elements, and functionality of the App are owned by or licensed to Rock Identifier and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain rights to photos or notes you submit, but you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the App.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the service, or created risk for other users, third parties, or us.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that identification results will always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended use.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCK IDENTIFIER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after the updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App operator conducts business, without regard to conflict of law rules.
